today when for the mr and miss avid reader competition.the competition is about the books that we were given to read and we were seperated by lower and upper primary.there will be a test paper given and we must answer them.but i was stumped by some of the questions.in the end i did not went to the second round.there was other competitions too like fancy dress,storytelling ,etc.while waiting for the results to who are going to the second round,my friends and i played carome(sp?)i was actually quite bad at it.but after a few rounds of missing some shots,i actually shot 4 in a row,wow.yi xian and i went to buy french fries after that cause we're feeling hungry.when we went to the cafe,we saw a long queue.we waited and waited after the fourth fry of the french fries we then get to eat it...
It was the second round of the competition and there was only one person in the lower primary catergory from my school when in.after some questions,it was the upper primary category.but now we had 2 from our school that when in.
Later on we saw the fancy dress competition which includes pupils from my school.we then cheered and clapped to support them.after thast it was the prize presentation.we won 1st,2nd and 3rd for the fancy dress competition for upper primary category and 1st for lower primary category.we also won consolation for that.we won tie 4th and 5th and 3rd for avid reader competition for the upper primary category and 2nd for lower primary category.after that it was the overall prizes and we WON!!!we got first!!!im quite happy that my school won.
Overall its a wonderful experience.
next monday and tuesday is prelims orals.im quite nervous...
