*BEWARE.LONG POST AHEAD.NO MATTER WHAT MUST CONTINUE READING.ENJOY! :D *Today went to school to help out in the scrabble competition for primary schools which is held in my school.
reported outside the council room at 7.30am.
saw tinghui and jiaying outside talking.
after that,daolong came.
shanon lim also came to talk.
As usual, he bullied me again =.=
waited for 15minutes.
me and daolong went up to check.
in the end,timothy,marcus,shanon,caiwei,kenny and some other sec1s were already in the hall setting up.
so we helped out too.
in the morning, it was the champions league.
there were schools like PLMGS(P),Greenwood,hougang,daqiao,St. Hilda's , etc.
only 4 rows of tables were used.
this means there are only 8 schools there.
so they did not need that much people.
so the other sec1s volunteered themselves to be the lane runners.
the lane runners duty were to help check the validity of the words when person A "challenged" the other opponent as A thinks that the word is not valid.
so they will either check the words on the paper which are provided.[which is only useful if you are checking 2-3 words.] or you can go to the booth where there is a person there to check on the laptop which has a programmed dictionary.He just need to type the word and poof, it will come out either it is good[valid] or bad [not accepted] .
so me and daolong and the other councillors were like slacking.
it was really boring cos there was practically nothing to do.
and the duration for each game is 1 hour.
slacked until 9, we went down for council meeting.
at around 10, when up again.
slacked for awhile before we went to check out the laptop.
it was really cool and fun .
in the end me,daolong,tinghui,jiaying played with it.
not exactly play, maybe partially doing work? QWERTY~QWERTY~Im starting to like this word because the letters,Q,W,E,R,T,Y are side by side in the keyboard and it is a word okay![i bet all of you are checking your keyboard now LOL]when the lane runners came,we type in the words. its really fun and kills time.
in the end we played a game which is we type a word that is valid and the letter of the end of the word will be the starting letter the next word the next person will type. it really kills time.
we also met this jonathan guy from the sec 3. he is from 3e5. he is quite funny and maybe eccentric too haha. no offence though.
he kept disturbing me and daolong. more like kept tickling us .:X
in the afternoon, there are more schools that came. schools like, hougang pri,northland,chongfu,Meetoh,Ahmad Ibrahim,Jiemin,etc.
and i became the lane runner.
oh and the lane runners were very enthusiastic. especially most of the sec 1. when someone "challenged" and raise up his/her hand. they will all run to the person and try to snatch the challenge slip.
then some of the primary school's reserves volunteered to be lane runners too.
which makes this situation worst.
they were much more enthusiastic than the sec1s. Oh gosh.
when i was walking to the person, the Pri School Kid whoosh past me and snatch away the slip.
It was sometimes quite irritating though.
I realised that a lot of people like to challenged the word "QIS" and "STARNIE"its like the first time i dont know that's why i check with the programmed dictionary.but after getting the word so many times.i just put a tick at the box. and the have one kid who was really surprised. he was like "SO FAST AH?" in chinese.and the word "STARNIE" after one person asked and i checked it was approved, people started to type that same word into the laptop and was saying "really?"and to be exact it was 4 different people saying that. amazing?Then prize presentation. Hougang Pri won the Junior(p3/4),Senior(p5/6) division and the champions league. i know very pro. they also won 3rd in the junior division.
The whole thing ended around 5+. cleared and cleaned up and we can leave at 6.
reached home at 6.15 :D
